Sightline is seeking a Sightline Testing Team Sr. Software Engineer to assist in executing testing activities for the Workday platform, ensuring functionalities meet business requirements and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating test cases, and documenting results. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and an eagerness to learn about Workday applications.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Position’s Roles & Interactions

• Test Case Development: Assist in creating and executing detailed test cases based on specifications and requirements.
• Testing Execution: Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Workday modules.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and collaborate on defect resolution.
• Test Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing results and provide system feedback.
• Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, project managers, and team members to align testing with business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance testing processes.
• Training and Support: Support knowledge sharing and training on Workday functionalities.
• Reporting: Update stakeholders on testing progress and outcomes.

Specific Systems, Applications, Projects

• Focus on Workday’s suite of applications.

Scale/Size of Area, Project, and/or System Supported

• Supports a highly complex 70+ server environment supporting Johns Hopkins ERP solutions.
• Workday supports over 60,000 users across HR, finance, and other key functions, interfacing with over 450 systems.

Core modules include Human Capital Management, Financial Management, Planning, Analytics, and Extend platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Six years of relevant experience with computer systems and applications. Bachelor’s degree required; additional experience may substitute for education.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with full software development lifecycle, Workday certification or extensive experience.

Salary Range: $37.14/hour - $65.01/hour. Compensation reflects experience and role scope.
