Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a Workday Security Lead to serve as the subject matter expert for Workday security, with a primary focus on HCM and related business processes. This is an individual contributor role responsible for defining and advancing Workday security strategy, governance, and execution in close partnership with IT, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in security or Workday environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field(s).
Experience designing, configuring, and implementing Workday Security solutions.
Strong knowledge of IT controls, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
Ability to lead through expertise in cross-functional environments.
Workday Pro Security certification.

Responsibilities

Lead design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday security with a focus on HCM and enterprise data protection.
Define and maintain Workday security governance, including roles and access controls.
Partner with IT, HR, Finance, Audit, Risk, and Compliance to align security with business and regulatory requirements.
Translate business requirements into effective Workday security solutions.
Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and audits to identify gaps and support compliance objectives.
Support security-related changes tied to new functionality and organizational updates.
Provide guidance on complex Workday security issues and maintain documentation.
Serve as a strategic advisor and Workday security SME to stakeholders.
