Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Workday Report Writer to design, develop, and optimize reporting within Workday HCM, partnering with HR, Finance, IT, and operations to deliver tailored reports. You’ll troubleshoot issues and ensure data integrity while supporting business stakeholders.

You will build matrix and composite reports, manage Prism datasets, and implement security-driven reporting logic across HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of Workday reporting experience.
• Expertise in Workday Report Writer and calculated fields; Prism experience.
• Strong data analysis and Workday HCM understanding.
• Knowledge of Workday security and report optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports for data-driven decisions.
• Build advanced, matrix, and composite reports and RaaS outputs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements.
• Create complex calculated fields across HCM data sources.
• Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot data issues.
• Assist with Workday upgrades, testing, and report validation.
• Document report logic and maintain reporting standards.
• Ensure reports follow Workday security logic for privacy and compliance.
• Develop reports across HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, etc.
• Create and manage Prism datasets and derive datasets by joining Prism with Workday data.
• Design derived datasets relating Prism and native Workday data.
