Job summary

Western Union is seeking an HR systems administrator to manage Workday and optimize HR processes. You will configure complex recruiting and core HCM workflows, manage data loads, and support end users across updates and training initiatives.

The role requires strong Workday experience, attention to detail, and collaboration with IT and business partners to continuously improve the HR technology landscape.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Workday HCM experience; Workday Pro or Certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Recruiting and Core HCM; some knowledge of Compensation, Talent, Learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Workday processes, data model and integration data loads.
  • Detail oriented with clear communication for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to mass-load data via EIBs and test inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR system administration and configure Workday business processes.
  • Partner with Workday team, IT, and business leaders to meet HR tech needs.
  • Configure complex Workday processes focusing on Recruiting and Core HCM.
  • Perform tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
  • Review procedures to maximize system features and identify improvements.
  • Document standards and maintain change-management records for audits.
  • Provide pre/post-launch end-user support and training.
  • Support domain for feature releases and Workday changes with architects.

Job description

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide HR system administration, including business process configuration, reporting development, end‑user training, and data management to maintain Workday as a best‑in‑class employee‑experience platform.
  • Partner with Workday team members, IT, business partners, vendors, and business leaders to meet HR technology needs.
  • Configure complex Workday business processes focused on Recruiting and Core HCM, plus other modules as needed.
  • Perform Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, integrations, and reporting.
  • Review business procedures and workflows to fully utilize system features and identify improvements.
  • Cohabitate in Sandbox environments, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑launch end‑user support, change management, issue resolution, testing, and training to enhance Workday processes.
  • Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.
  • Maintain accurate change‑management documentation to satisfy internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.
  • Apply Workday’s implementation methodology on all projects.
  • Serve as domain support for feature releases and issue resolution, collaborating with the Workday Architect on scope, prioritization, planning, and implementation of system changes.
  • Maintain functional knowledge of HR systems across multiple functions and teams, fostering collaboration and a commitment to excellent support service.
  • Foster ongoing Workday relationships, including membership and engagement in Workday Community, User Groups, and Conferences.
  • Support business partners and enhance their understanding of Workday.
Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience sufficient for key responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Workday business processes and core setup.
  • Deep understanding of Workday data model, corporate system architecture, interfaces, reporting, and data‑loading procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow‑through when collaborating on solutions.
  • Clear, compelling, concise communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to mass‑load information via EIBs and test integration inputs and outputs based on transactional changes.
  • Knowledge of report creation and use for auditing configuration change effectiveness.
  • Experience in a ticketing environment; preference for past ServiceNow experience.
Salary

The base salary range is $100,000–$130,000 USD per year. Total on‑target compensation includes a base salary and short‑term incentives aligned with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary with qualifications, skills, and competencies.
