Column Technical Services in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Financial Applications Specialist II to lead Payroll and Time & Attendance initiatives using Workday and Symplr.

The role blends independent work with collaboration, focusing on system integration, regulatory compliance, and delivering scalable solutions for large employee populations. Hybrid role with 1-2 days on-site in Manhattan; local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related discipline.
• 4+ years of full cycle Workday Payroll implementation or Symplr/Workday Time & Attendance.
• Experience implementing Workday Payroll and/or Symplr Time & Attendance.
• Experience with payroll tax compliance and Wage and Hour laws.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of payroll systems from design to production.
• Oversee payroll processing tasks for large employee populations.
• Ensure integration between Workday payroll and internal/external platforms.
• Coordinate Time & Attendance processes using Symplr or similar software.
• Document technical solutions and mentor junior team members.
