Job description

The ideal candidate for the Workday Integrations Senior Principal Consultant (Lead Consultant) position is able to support both business and technical teams. You love the challenge of solving complex inter-system problems and want to develop SaaS, SOA, web service expertise. As a Workday Integrations Senior Principal Consultant, you will bring your technical skills, ability to keep the business context in sight, and a strong work ethic to a team with a positive attitude, a collaborative culture, and a passion for helping our customers to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead phase 1 implementation projects with a large team of integration developers
  2. Work directly with key business and IT stakeholders to confirm requirements, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions and ultimately drive requirements sign-off
  3. Evaluate, communicate and coordinate the technical impacts of application configuration decisions
  4. Create detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs
  5. Develop, test and deploy integrations required to meet business requirements
  6. Facilitate knowledge transfer and educate clients on developing and operating interfaces to and from a SaaS platform
  7. Track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns to project management

Skills & Requirements:

  1. 4 years of Workday certified Integration consulting experience
  2. Acted as technical lead for at least 1 phase 1 implementation
  3. Experience with Student module or with Extend preferred
  4. Current Workday Studio and CCTPP integration certification held for over 2 years
  5. Extend and/or Orchestrate experience preferred but not required
  6. Able to demonstrate the creation of innovative solutions for complex Workday integrations
  7. Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on one or more ERP implementation projects using SOA tools (SAP NetWeaver, Oracle Fusion, Workday Studio or other middleware platform)
  8. Demonstrated proficiency with web service technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc)
  9. B.A. / B.S., Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, computer science/other engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  10. Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities; able to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization
  11. Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
  12. Outstanding Excel skills
  13. Thrive on simultaneously operating at multiple levels and managing multiple responsibilities.
  14. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing ecosystem with minimal supervision
  15. Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $128,093 - $192,140 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
