Job summary

Grand Canyon Education, Inc. (GCE) is seeking an HRIS Specialist to support the HR system, Workday HCM. You will monitor the HRIS ticketing system, troubleshoot issues, and partner with internal customers to deliver timely, high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and skilled at diagnosing and resolving system and process challenges, with experience in Workday and HR functions such as onboarding, payroll, and benefits.

Qualifications

2+ years' experience supporting HRIS systems and Workday HCM preferred.
2+ years’ experience working in or supporting HR functions (compensation, benefits, onboarding, payroll, recruiting, talent development, timekeeping).
1+ years’ experience handling high-volume requests in a ticketing system or case management system.
Bachelor's degree required; may be substituted with equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the HRIS ticketing system, ensuring tickets are prioritized, assigned, and resolved promptly.
Serve as first point of contact for internal customers with professional communication.
Provide support for Workday HCM, researching and resolving system issues and escalating complex cases.
Work with internal teams to identify root cause analyses and process improvement opportunities across Workday.
Develop and distribute user communications about instructions, outages, and changes.
Maintain data integrity in Workday with regular data audits and cleanup.
Complete requests for data corrections, moves, updates, and reporting.
Identify, create, and update Workday job aids for end users.
Assist the HRIS team in testing system modifications.
Coordinate, schedule, and track progress of HRIS projects.
