Job summary

Northeastern University is seeking a Reporting & Data Analyst within HR Platforms (HRIT) to support Workday HCM and Payroll reporting. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and college HR stakeholders to deliver accurate workforce analytics in a decentralized higher education environment.

The role requires strong Excel and SQL skills, expert Workday knowledge, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective reporting solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • 3-5 years in HR data analytics, HR systems, or reporting.
  • Strong Workday HCM and Payroll knowledge.
  • Experience with Workday reporting across HCM/Payroll.
  • Higher education HR/payroll experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data cleansing.
  • SQL proficiency for querying complex datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and college HR stakeholders to translate data needs into reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and queries using Workday HCM/Payroll, Prism, SQL, and Excel.
  • Analyze HR and Payroll data to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues; investigate root causes.
  • Collaborate with teams on testing, validation, and resolution of data/reporting issues.
