Job summary

Florida Polytechnic University seeks a Workday Financial Planning Analyst to lead architecture, build, and maintain adaptive planning models and dashboards. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with strong FP&A expertise and AI awareness.

You will partner with leaders across campus, translate complex data into actionable insights, train users, and help advance responsible AI governance in finance. Exemption from overtime and on-site in Lakeland, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or a comparable ERP/CPM platform (Anaplan, Vena, Planful, OneStream).
• Experience building financial models, dashboards, and reports for leadership audiences
• Experience delivering end‑user training or change management programs
• In lieu of a degree, any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Workday Adaptive Planning Architecture & Dashboard Development: Build and maintain financial models, reports, driver-based budget templates, and interactive dashboards.
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Own the annual operating budget process compiling direction from leadership and building what-if scenarios.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Publish monthly and ad hoc budget-to-actual variance reports with narratives and dashboards.
• Stakeholder Communication & Partnership: Serve as primary liaison to divisional leaders, budget managers, HR, and IT on Adaptive Planning matters.
• Stakeholder Training & Change Management: Deliver Adaptive Planning training for budget managers and departmental users; create guides and workshops.
• Agentic AI & Emerging Technology Innovation: Evaluate AI capabilities and pilot AI tools for variance commentary and predictive forecasting.
