A fast-growing, technology-enabled consulting organisation is hiring a Workday Director to lead its Workday Financials practice. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape delivery standards, drive profitability, support sales pursuits, and develop a high-performing team delivering complex Workday Financials programmes.

What you will do

Delivery and practice leadership

• Own and evolve delivery methodology for the Workday Financials Financial Accounting practice
• Drive delivery efficiency through innovation, tools, automation, and cross-practice collaboration
• Create and deliver enablement on Workday best practices, delivery approach, tools, and point of view
• Partner with services leadership to strengthen delivery consistency and practice alignment
• Support resource planning including skills classification, staffing input, and hiring activity

Profitability and growth

• Maximise practice profitability through utilisation, resourcing strategy, and cost management
• Support a global delivery model including offshore ways of working and standardisation
• Provide sales support including participating in sales meetings, shaping proposal content, and developing reusable sales resources
• Manage headcount, forecasting, utilisation, and FTE alignment to deal models and financial targets

People leadership

• Motivate and inspire a team to deliver their best work
• Lead onboarding, coaching, development planning, and performance support
• Build a culture of continuous improvement, empowerment, and retention
• Run 1:1s and skip-levels as needed, support escalations, and identify high performers
• Contribute to succession planning and practice leadership development

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years relevant experience in Workday Financials / financial systems delivery
• Prior consulting experience (consulting firm, software organisation, or internal consulting)
• Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience
• Workday Financials certification (or other relevant Workday Financials module certification) is required
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Must have current work authorisation (no sponsorship available)
