Focus on WD is a dedicated Global Specialist Recruiter of Workday, placing Workday professionals on a contract and permanent basis with many of the world’s leading consultancies and end users!

Focus on WD is working with an end client in the U.S., looking for an experienced Workday Product Owner – HCM & Financials to join their team and take ownership of their enterprise-wide Workday platform.

As the Workday Product Owner, you will lead the strategic management, optimisation, and enhancement of the Workday platform across HCM and Financials. You’ll work closely with senior business leaders, technical teams, and third-party partners to ensure the system delivers maximum value and aligns seamlessly with the organisation’s goals.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr

Role

• Own and manage the Workday product roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and priorities.


• Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT to gather requirements, define priorities, and translate business needs into actionable deliverables.


• Oversee system governance, configuration standards, and release management processes.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimising workflows and increasing platform adoption.


• Partner with technical teams to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.


• Lead testing, change management, and communication for all new Workday features and enhancements.


• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality, value, and timely delivery of services.


• Provide subject matter expertise across Workday HCM (Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning) and Workday Financials (Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects).

Candidate

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar leadership role within a Workday environment.


• Hands-on expertise with Workday HCM and Workday Financials modules - Will consider someone with strong experience in either, willing to learn the other area.


• Strong understanding of Workday integrations, security, and advanced reporting tools.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement.


• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
