Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Extend & Orchestrate Developer with strong expertise in Workday configuration, application development, and workflow automation. The role involves designing, building, and optimizing custom applications and orchestration workflows within the Workday platform, along with integrating external systems using APIs and middleware tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend (UI + business logic)
• Design and implement complex workflows using Workday Orchestrate
• Build and manage reusable components, UI patterns, and Extend frameworks
• Develop API-based integrations using Workday APIs and external systems
• Integrate Workday with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft
• Configure event-driven workflows, conditional logic, and cross-functional automation (HCM, Finance, etc.)
• Optimize application and workflow performance, including API efficiency and processing time
• Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring for integrations
• Ensure secure authentication using OAuth2, certificates, and Workday security standards
• Configure role-based security for Extend apps and orchestration flows
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to integrations and workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience in Workday configuration and/or enterprise application development
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Extend application development
• Experience with Workday Orchestrate and workflow automation
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and Workday integration APIs
• Experience integrating Workday with external systems and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Experience with Workday security model and role-based access control
