Workday Extend Developer(W2 only; no C2C/1099 options)

Duration: 6 month open-ended contract

Location: remote

Candidates must be able to pass a US federal background check and drug test

Candidates must be able to work on Apex Systems’s W2 without sponsorship now or in the future

There are no C2C or 1099 options.

Apex Systems is seeking a Workday Extend Developer to support our government client’s effort to automate currently existing manual processes for legacy systems.The Workday Extend Developer will build from-scratch and modify existing custom Workday Extend applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom applications usingWorkday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, and Workday Studio.
• Integrate Workday Extend applications with Workday core modules and external systems using REST APIs and Workday web services
• Collaborate with business analysts, HRIS, and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain Workday Hub landing/menu pages to support user navigation and experience
• Ensure applications follow Workday’s security, performance, and UX best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Maintain and enhance existing Workday Extend applications.
• Stay current with Workday updates, new features, and Extend platform enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience developing withWorkday Extend.
• Strong understanding ofWorkday HCM and/or Financials.
• Proficiency inXSLT, JSON, REST APIs, andWorkday Studio.
• Experience withWorkday Integration tools(EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services).
• Hands-on experience with Workday Orchestrate
• Familiarity with Workday Hub for building user-friendly landing pages
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday PRISM is highly desirable, especially in support of broader costing automation initiatives
• Familiarity withAgile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
