Job summary

Focus Cloud Group is seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst for a 13-week, 100% remote contract in the US. You will own requirements end-to-end, translate needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, and drive documentation across a global Workday program with business and technical teams in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The role requires 5+ years BA experience (3+ on Workday), strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work independently in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, including at least 3 years with Workday projects.
• Ownership of requirements end-to-end: workshops, detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and sign-off.
• Experience writing requirements for waterfall and agile development, assessing configuration vs. build options.
• Maintain requirements traceability to build objects and test cases; assess change impacts.
• Strong skills in Visio, PowerPoint and Excel; create clear process maps and decision-ready docs.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management; lead discussions across global teams.
• Proactive in resolving ambiguity, managing dependencies and driving deliverables to completion.
• Workday Talent & Performance or Workday Extend project experience.
• Experience supporting both implementations and remediation, aligning processes.
• Consulting background or experience standardizing HR processes across regions.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're partnering with a global management consulting client seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst for an initial 13-week contract, with strong potential for extension. This is a 100% remote opportunity based in the US, supporting a global Workday transformation alongside business and technical teams across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

You'll own requirements from stakeholder discovery through business sign-off, translating business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows. You'll also reconcile existing project documentation into a single source of truth and help regional teams align their performance management processes.

We're looking for someone who can bring structure to a complex, changing environment, investigate gaps, drive stakeholder decisions and take ownership of deliverables. Clear communication and high-quality documentation are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and keep progress moving.

• Type – C2C Contract, 40 hours per week,
• Duration – Initial 13 weeks, with strong potential for extension
• Rate – US$80–$120 per hour C2C, depending on experience
• Focus – Requirements ownership, process alignment and documentation across a global Workday program

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, including at least 3 years working on Workday projects
• Experience owning requirements end-to-end, including stakeholder workshops, detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and business sign-off
• Experience writing requirements for both waterfall and agile custom development, working with technical leads to assess configuration versus custom-build options
• Ability to maintain requirements traceability to build objects and test cases, assess change impacts and resolve conflicting or incomplete requirements
• Excellent Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint and Excel skills, with experience creating clear process maps and documentation to support business decisions
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to lead discussions across global business teams
• A proactive approach to resolving ambiguity, managing dependencies and independently driving deliverables to completion
• Workday Talent & Performance or Workday Extend project experience
• Experience supporting both implementations and remediation, particularly where requirements or processes need to be clarified and brought into alignment
• Previous consulting experience or experience standardizing HR processes across multiple countries or regions
