Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Workday AI & Extend Service Leader to drive growth and delivery of AI and Extend services. You will act as a senior SME, shaping strategy, leading demonstrations, and supporting business development with clients and sales teams.

The ideal candidate has deep Workday expertise, strong consulting and client engagement skills, and thrives in a growth-focused environment where innovation and accelerators enable scalable client success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday consulting, implementation, or solution architecture experience.
• Deep expertise with Workday Extend and related platform capabilities.
• Experience leading client-facing Workday engagements from strategy through delivery.
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture, integrations, security, and business processes.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.
• Experience supporting business development activities, including solutioning, estimating, and proposal creation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead advisor for Workday AI and Workday Extend engagements.
• Partner with client stakeholders to identify business challenges and design scalable, innovative solutions.
• Lead solution architecture, design, implementation, and deployment efforts across client engagements.
• Guide clients on leveraging Workday AI, Extend, automation, and emerging platform technologies to improve business outcomes.
• Facilitate executive and stakeholder discussions, providing strategic recommendations and thought leadership.
• Conduct client discovery workshops, assessments, and roadmap sessions to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
• Ensure successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and adoption of delivered solutions.
• Partner closely with Sales and Account Management teams to identify, qualify, and advance Workday AI and Extend opportunities.
• Participate in customer meetings as the Workday AI and Extend subject matter expert.
• Conduct client assessments to evaluate current-state capabilities and identify opportunities for AI, automation, and Extend solutions.
• Lead solution demonstrations, capability presentations, and executive briefings for prospects and clients.
• Support discovery sessions, solution design, estimation, and proposal development during the sales cycle.
• Help develop account growth strategies and identify opportunities to expand services within existing clients.
• Contribute to pipeline growth and revenue generation by helping clients understand the value of Workday platform innovation.
• Own the strategy, development, and evolution of Workday AI and Extend service offerings.
• Develop go-to-market solutions, service packages, accelerators, and reusable assets.
• Identify emerging Workday capabilities and market trends to create new client opportunities.
• Partner with leadership to define growth strategies and expand market presence.
• Establish delivery standards, best practices, and methodologies that enable scalable client success.
