The consultant will configure Workday Absence and Time Tracking for approximately 1,000 acquired employees across 6+ countries, with multiple plans and country-specific requirements. The role collaborates with HR, Payroll, People Technology, and integration partners.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday Absence configuration.
  • Strong hands-on Workday Time Tracking configuration.
  • Direct M&A/acquisition experience involving employee migration into Workday.
  • Experience supporting international/multi-country Workday implementations.
  • EU and/or APAC Workday Absence & Time experience.

Role: Workday Time & Absence Analyst
Location: Remote
Pay: $80/hr - $85/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consultant to support the integration of employees from acquired companies into Workday as part of international M&A projects.

The consultant will configure Workday Absence and Time Tracking for approximately 1,000 acquired employees across 6+ countries, with multiple plans and country-specific requirements. The role will work closely with HR, Payroll, People Technology, integration partners, and local teams to translate employee handbooks, spreadsheets, and other business requirements into scalable Workday configurations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of hands-on Workday Absence and Time Tracking configuration experience, with direct experience supporting M&A/acquisition employee migrations and international populations, particularly across Europe and APAC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Workday migration and integration of acquired employee populations.
  • Gather and analyze country-specific statutory, regulatory, and company leave/time requirements.
  • Translate employee handbooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and business requirements into Workday configuration.
  • Configure and maintain: Workday Absence / Time Off Plans, Leave of Absence Types, Eligibility Rules, Accrual Rules and Methods, Balance Periods, Time Tracking Rules, Time Entry, Work Schedules, Calendars, Approvals and Exceptions
  • Configure solutions for multiple international countries and time zones.
  • Perform hands‑on Sandbox configuration, unit testing, validation, and defect resolution.
  • Support UAT, troubleshoot issues, and implement configuration fixes.
  • Perform legacy absence balance conversion/load and reconciliation.
  • Support production deployment, migration sequencing, and post‑go‑live activities.
  • Provide hypercare support following the year‑end/December go‑live.
  • Validate employee time and absence data following migration.
  • Analyze Time/Absence-to-Payroll interactions and integrations.
  • Work with integration partners and business stakeholders to resolve functional issues.
  • Maintain configuration documentation and provide knowledge transfer to the Workday Functional team.
  • Support Workday releases and relevant new Time & Absence functionality.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday Absence configuration.
  • Strong hands‑on Workday Time Tracking configuration experience.
  • Direct M&A/acquisition experience involving employee migration into Workday.
  • Experience supporting international/multi-country Workday implementations.
  • Strong EU and/or APAC Workday Absence & Time experience.
  • Experience with complex: Accrual rules, Eligibility rules, Time Off plans, Leave types, Work schedules/calendars, Time tracking rules
  • Experience translating incomplete or non‑technical requirements into Workday configuration.
  • Working knowledge of absence/time and payroll integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, People Technology, and integration teams.
  • Ability to overlap with US Eastern Time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday populations in UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE/Dubai, Portugal, Spain, or other EMEA/APAC countries.
  • Workday Scheduling experience.
  • Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking certification.
  • Experience with legacy balance conversion and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Workday + Greenhouse.
  • Broader Workday HCM experience.
  • Strong functional/technical documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting global Workday tenants
