Job summary

Slipstream IT, LLC is seeking a hands-on Integration Developer with deep Workato expertise to design, build, test, and support integrations connecting Salesforce patient services to hub vendors, pharmacies, payers, EHR/EMR, and data warehouses.

This delivery-focused, client-facing role handles PHI data with HIPAA-compliant practices and requires strong documentation, testing, and collaboration with stakeholders. Minimal travel and no direct reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in integration development with 3+ years on Workato.
• Healthcare or life sciences integration experience.
• Knowledge of patient services ecosystem and hub vendors.
• Salesforce platform knowledge for integrations.
• Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud.
• Strong API design and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, bulk, async).
• Experience with HL7, FHIR, X12, NCPDP, SFTP.
• Direct handling of PHI under HIPAA regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting across full integration path.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US-based and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy Workato recipes, API endpoints, and data pipelines for patient services and life sciences use cases.
• Translate business requirements into integration designs and mapping documents.
• Build integrations across patient journey stages such as enrollment, verification, prior auth, copay, and adherence data.
• Integrate with Salesforce using REST, Bulk, Composite APIs and Health Cloud objects.
• Work with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, X12, NCPDP, SFTP) and JSON/XML payloads.
• Implement secure connectivity patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual TLS, secrets management).
• Develop custom connectors using the Workato Connector SDK when needed.
• Manage recipe lifecycle, environments, versioning, deployments, and rollbacks.
• Instrument integrations for monitoring, error handling, and SLA reporting.
• Document designs, test evidence, and validation support for regulated clients.
• Participate in discovery, design workshops, and client-facing meetings.
• Support estimation, presales, and post-deployment hypercare.
