Job summary

Santa Fe College (SF) is seeking a student to join the Student Engagement Center as an Educational Aide. Hours are 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.

The role focuses on greeting and guiding students, routing inquiries, connecting students with campus resources, and supporting engagement activities. Applicants must be currently enrolled at SF, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, and pass a criminal background check.

Job Description Summary

The Student Engagement Center promotes involvement and development of individual students and student-run organizations. Hours for educational aides will be selected primarily from the hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday with occasional evening or weekend hours potentially made available as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing students in the Engagement Center.
  • Accepts, screens, and routes telephone calls concerning activities and operations of the office, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing information.
  • Connects students with opportunities and resources on campus.
  • Supports Center activities and programs; Monitor activities and equipment and assist with enforcement of rules and policies.
  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  • Organization & Time Management – able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames.
  • Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
  • Detail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
