Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary Student Assistant under the Federal Work Study program to support the University Honors Program in Stanislaus - Turlock. The role is an hourly, intermittent student position with multiple duties across events, records, and outreach.

  • Position Summary
  • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Honors.
  • Start Date
  • Positionavailable on or after September 1, 2026and ending on or before May 21, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
  • Job Description/Duties
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Provide general administrative support for the University Honors Program.
    • Assist with preparing materials for Honors events, workshops, orientations, and student activities
    • Help with event setup, check-in, cleanup, and other event-related tasks. Create and update flyers, signs, presentations, and other program materials
    • Assist with maintaining student records, spreadsheets, and program files
    • Support outreach and communication efforts with current and prospective Honors students
    • Help organize and maintain the Honors.
    • Program office and shared student spaces.
    • Make copies, scan documents, assemble packets, and complete basic data entry.
    • Assist with inventorying and organizing program supplies and materials. Provide courteous assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the University Honors Program.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Salary Range
  • $16.90per hour.

CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
