Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant in Housing & Residential Life for the Stanislaus - Turlock campus. Duties include groundskeeping, cleaning, and assisting with housing events. Minimum unit enrollment requirements apply for undergraduate and graduate students.

Position starts after Oct 5, 2026 and ends by May 31, 2027, with potential reappointment depending on budget and performance. Background checks are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine grounds and landscaping such as planting, digging, raking leaves, edging, blowing, and debris cleanup, and pressure washing walkways;
• Assist with carpet and upholstery cleaning, and stripping and waxing vinyl flooring;
• Collect trash and recyclables on a routine basis;
• Organize supply closets for grounds keeping equipment;
• Assist department staff with general housekeeping such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning surfaces and appliances, and sanitation of common areas in the community;
• Assist with various housing events and conferencing such as move-in, move-out or other events that need additional support;
• Other duties as assigned.

• Salary Range

• $16.90per hour.
