Job Posting Title: Work Study Laboratory Student Assistant ---- Hiring Department: Waggoner Center for Alcohol and Addiction Research ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 10 ---- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt from FLSA ---- Earliest Start Date: Oct 01, 2026 ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until May 31, 2027 ---- Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Job Details: We seek a work-study student to assist research staff with laboratory operations. This position provides hands‑on support to ensure lab safety, maintain organization, and follow administrative protocols. This is not a research position.

Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:
  • 80C freezer preventative maintenance
  • Flushing eye wash stations
  • Washing and autoclaving dishes
  • Monitoring and replacing desiccant
  • Submitting biological and chemical waste, sharps, and broken glass for proper disposal
  • Maintaining written and electronic records

Salary Range $15.00 per hour
