Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Planner to support construction and maintenance activities for substation and transmission line assets. The role focuses on preparing work packages, reviewing equipment history, and identifying required resources to complete tasks.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, coordinating with Construction Resources, and ensuring updates to the annual work plan while aligning with funding changes. Hybrid work arrangement applies, with travel 15-25%.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years related work experience; or 7 years with HS/GED.
• Strong knowledge of work planning and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work packages for Construction and Maintenance activities.
• Review equipment maintenance history to identify requirements.
• Determine special resources and requirements for work tasks.
• Identify concurrent work to improve resource efficiency.
• Monitor progress and raise issues to schedulers/supervisors.
• Ensure accurate completion of NERC documentation when required.
• Coordinate with Transmission Construction to plan, estimate, and allocate resources for projects.
• Maintain and update the annual Construction & Maintenance work plan (150M–300M).
