Commonpoint’s Youth Workforce Department comprises a number of different programs serving individuals predominantly from 14-24 years old. SYEP provides New York City youth with summer employment and educational experiences that build on their individual strengths and incorporate youth development principles.
These principles include engaging the talents and interests of youth, developing their skills and competencies, and providing positive adult role models.
Work, Learn & Grow (WLG) Facilitator plays a key role in supporting young people as they strengthen their work-readiness skills, explore career and postsecondary pathways, and successfully participate in the Work, Learn & Grow program.
The Facilitator leads engaging virtual workshops and learning activities focused on career readiness, professional development, workplace success, and reflection. The Facilitator also provides ongoing guidance, encouragement, and accountability to participants throughout the program.
Because this is a remote position, the Facilitator is responsible for creating an interactive and supportive virtual learning environment, maintaining consistent communication with participants, monitoring attendance and engagement, and helping youth develop the digital and professional skills needed to succeed in school, internships, and future employment.

As the WLG Facilitator, you will help young people translate education and work experience into skills they can carry into college, careers, and adulthood.
You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with young people, facilitate practical career-readiness experiences, and help participants strengthen their communication, confidence, professionalism, problem-solving, and workplace skills.
You will also gain valuable professional experience in virtual facilitation, youth development, workforce education, participant coaching, and program implementation while collaborating with a team committed to helping young people successfully navigate their next steps in education and employment.
