Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialist

Job Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Specialists for our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This 12-month training program is based in Ohio facilities, with multiple openings in 2025. Candidates will report to a site location and participate in hands-on work and training.

Responsibilities
  • Data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations
  • Ensuring billing accuracy related to inventory supply chain
  • Assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise and materials
  • Scheduling deliveries and pickups
  • Maintaining precise records of commodities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for heavier items
  • Work in a 24/7 environment, including after-hours support and responder rotations
  • Work in cramped, elevated, noisy environments
  • Stand, walk, bend, lift, stretch, and reach for up to 8+ hours daily
  • Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, gangways safely

Note: Candidates must have work authorization; sponsorship is not provided. Site locations in Oregon and Ohio are within AWS GovCloud, accessible only to U.S. Citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage data entry and resolve supply chain questions
  • Validate and process billing
  • Assemble and ship merchandise
  • Schedule deliveries and pickups
  • Record all commodities accurately
Daily Activities

Monitor Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and demand to maintain optimal stock levels. Collaborate with Data Center Technicians, Engineers, Procurement, and Vendors to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. Communicate effectively with vendors and adhere to safety and quality standards. Ability to work independently or in teams, prioritize tasks, and react quickly is essential. Shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, is required, along with regional travel using personal transportation.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 18 or older

  • STEM or vocational education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
