Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continual access to innovation for our customers. We work on complex problems involving supply chain variables and seek talented individuals to help.

You will join a diverse team including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role will involve collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards, providing high capacity at low costs, and contributing to an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership.

Position Details

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Specialists for our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). Candidates will report to a site location in Northern Virginia, participating in a 12-month training and work program starting in 2025. All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations.

Physical Requirements
  • Lift/move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for heavier loads
  • Work in a 24/7 environment, participate in after-hours support
  • Work in cramped, elevated, noisy environments
  • Stand, walk, bend, lift, stretch for up to 8+ hours
  • Ascend/descend ladders and stairs safely

Note: No sponsorship is available; candidates must have work authorization. For Oregon and Ohio sites, access is restricted to U.S. citizens within AWS GovCloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data entry and peer support
  • Ensure billing accuracy for inventory supply chain
  • Assemble, address, and ship merchandise/materials
  • Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups
  • Maintain precise inventory records
Daily Activities

Review inventory, shipments, and demand to maintain stock levels supporting build and repair activities. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, procurement, and vendors for parts management, RMA processing, and issue resolution. Candidates should understand production processes, adhere to safety standards, and be willing to operate powered equipment. Flexibility to work independently or in teams, with shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are necessary.
