Management & Training Corporation operates Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR, and seeks a Work-Based Learning (WBL) Specialist to connect education with employment and develop industry partnerships.

You will promote student placement, coordinate councils, and lead community outreach to support Job Corps' mission. A bachelor’s degree and related experience are preferred, with strong communications and a valid driver's license.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or education and one year related experience preferred.
• Directly related experience and/or training may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers for work-based learning and job placements.
• Lead the Workforce Council, Center Industry Council and Community Relations Council (CRC) to align training programs with labor market needs.
• CRC meetings are intended to educate and inform community members about the Job Corps program and Tongue Point Job Corps Center to increase community understanding of and support for the Center.
• Act as center spokesperson at public events, giving tours, and managing media/publicity to enhance community awareness.
• Help students secure internships, jobs, apprenticeships, or enrollment in higher education, and prepare them for post-center placement.
• Plan and manage student volunteer activities and community service projects to build a positive community presence.
• Maintain accurate records of community service hours, update social media, and submit progress reports to the Center Director and regional offices.
