Job summary

Boldist is a design and development studio focused on building websites and ecommerce experiences for a diverse client base. You’ll own the design process from research to developer handoff, ensuring assets are ready for seamless implementation.

The role centers on responsive web design, with occasional UI work for web apps. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team to refine interactions, improve design systems, and deliver high-quality, developer-ready designs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional design experience in an agency or multi-client environment.
• Expert-level Figma skills (components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, design tokens).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating responsive web design (not just mobile apps).
• Ability to design from wireframes through high-fidelity, developer-ready mockups.
• Understanding of responsive design patterns and how layouts translate to code.
• Excellent typography, layout, and visual hierarchy skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
• Understanding of ecommerce UX patterns (product pages, checkout flows, navigation).
• Strong communication skills (you can explain design decisions clearly).
• Portfolio with live websites that were built from your designs.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive website layouts and ecommerce experiences for agency clients.
• Take on UI design for web applications when projects come through.
• Understand how the web works and design for real-world constraints.
• Hand off to developers with thorough specs and assets for a smooth transfer.
• Produce wireframes and develop component libraries for consistency.
• Collaborate across multiple client projects at agency pace.
