Job summary

Dignotion seeks an experienced WordPress Developer for project-based, remote work. You will support a range of web projects from new builds to enhancements, focusing on fast-loading, feature-rich WordPress sites with complex content structures and third-party integrations.

The role emphasizes custom WordPress development beyond themes, with strong backend and frontend capabilities aligned with client specifications. Flexible hours and independent workflow are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and related web development toolkits.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and version control systems.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in written English.
• Experience working remotely and managing tasks asynchronously.
• Experience with page builders such as Elementor (preferred).
• Knowledge of WooCommerce development and optimization (preferred).
• Experience with affiliate marketing tools or link tracking (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and custom features.
• Build pages from scratch using both code and page builders like Elementor.
• Optimize websites for performance, Web Core Vitals, and mobile responsiveness.
• Manage bug tracking, quality assurance, and ongoing site maintenance.
• Implement backend and frontend features according to project specifications.
• Support WooCommerce development, including setup and optimization.
• Enhance site speed through caching, lazy loading, and code optimization.
• Configure complex hosting environments, load balancers, and version control systems like Git.
• Integrate third-party APIs and dynamic content sources.
• Translate project briefs into detailed development roadmaps and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external developers for plugin and theme integrations.
