MSRcosmos LLC seeks an experienced WordPress Developer to lead technical strategy and development for a portfolio of internal and business division websites on a contract basis. You will oversee day-to-day feature development, maintain security and stability, and architect custom WordPress solutions tailored to evolving business needs.

The ideal candidate combines deep WordPress mastery with strong frontend design sensibility.

Qualifications

• 4 years of professional web development experience with a proven track record as a WordPress Architect/Lead.
• Expert knowledge of WordPress architecture including Gutenberg, block development, React-based themes/plugins, REST API, and hooks/filters.
• Experience with hosting environments and version control workflows (Git/Bitbucket) and WP Engine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development: apply UX principles to layout and construct engaging interior pages and architect WordPress features.
• Audit Quality: review sites for performance, SEO, accessibility, security; provide scope estimates.
• Maintenance Version: manage code deployment and troubleshoot core/theme/plugin conflicts.
• Documentation Standards: maintain clear documentation for internal applications and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Development

• Apply foundational UX design principles to layout and construct engaging interior web pages
• Architect custom WordPress based features plugins and block based enhancements that meet complex business requirements.

Audit Quality

• Assurance Review existing sites to ensure compliance with modern best practices including web performance SEO accessibility legal standards and security protocols Conduct structured code reviews for ongoing projects
• Partner with product managers to identify UX improvements and cost reduction opportunities Evaluate 3rdparty vendor proposals project estimates themes and plugins to advise stakeholders on technical viability
• Provide accurate scope estimates for bugs and custom features review external estimates for technical accuracy

Maintenance Version

• Control Manage code deployment and versioning using Git and Bitbucket Troubleshoot complex core theme and plugin conflicts as they arise

Documentation Standards

• Maintain clean clear documentation for all internal applications custom block frameworks and system architecture

Qualifications Requirements

• Experience 4 years of professional web development experience with a proven track record as a WordPress Architect Lead Developer
• WordPress Mastery Expert level knowledge of modern WordPress architecture including Gutenberg custom block development React based custom theme plugin development REST API and hooksfilters
