Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in New Jersey seeks a WordPress Developer to build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, with solid PHP OOP skills and frontend capabilities.

You will work on Gutenberg blocks, REST API integrations, and MySQL optimization to deliver fast, accessible websites. Strong collaboration in Agile teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science required.
• Experience in WordPress architecture, theme and plugin development.
• Strong PHP object-oriented programming skills.
• Frontend and backend integration with REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Front-end development of responsive WordPress interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JS, jQuery, and modern frameworks.
• Back-end development including custom WordPress themes/plugins and Gutenberg blocks.
• Design and implement custom post types, taxonomies, widgets, and blocks.
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRM, payment gateways, and external services.

Front-end Development

• Develop responsive and user-friendly website interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern frameworks.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Optimize web pages for speed, performance, and accessibility.
• Implement modern front-end practices and interactive user experiences.

Back-end Development

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Customize WordPress core functionalities without impacting upgrade compatibility.
• Design and implement custom post types, taxonomies, widgets, and Gutenberg blocks.
