About the Role
MEC – Millennium Enterprise Corp. is seeking a highly skilled WordPress Administrator & UX Specialist with Linux full-stack development expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in WordPress site development, administration, and optimization, with a focus on performance, security, and user experience (UX). You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and developing WordPress websites, ensuring they are mobile-responsive, high-performing, and secure.

This role requires extensive experience in WordPress development, UX best practices, and Linux-based web hosting environments. The candidate must be proficient in WordPress plugin integration, Cloudflare CDN optimization, DNS configuration, and site security enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Administration & Development

  1. Manage, maintain, and optimize multiple WordPress websites.
  2. Develop, modify, and implement custom themes and plugins.
  3. Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress issues, including plugin conflicts and performance bottlenecks.

Website Optimization & Security
  1. Implement speed and performance optimizations using Cloudflare, caching strategies, and database tuning.
  2. Secure WordPress sites using best practices, firewalls, and malware prevention tools.
  3. Conduct regular website audits and recommend enhancements for SEO, speed, and accessibility.

UX & Mobile Responsiveness
  1. Implement UI/UX best practices to enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
  2. Ensure a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  3. Conduct A/B testing and user behavior analysis to improve website interaction.

Linux Full Stack & Server Administration
  1. Manage Linux-based hosting environments (Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP).
  2. Optimize server performance and troubleshoot web hosting issues.
  3. Configure and maintain DNS settings, SSL certificates, and security policies.

Collaboration & Documentation
  1. Work closely with designers, marketers, and IT teams to enhance website functionality.
  2. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, updates, and troubleshooting guides.
  3. Stay up to date with the latest WordPress, security, and UX trends.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. 6+ years of experience in WordPress administration and development.
  2. Strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
  3. Experience with Linux full-stack development and server management.
  4. Familiarity with Cloudflare, CDN integration, and website performance tuning.
  5. Knowledge of DNS configuration, domain management, and SSL implementation.
  6. Proficiency in mobile-first design and ensuring WordPress websites are fully responsive.
  7. A strong portfolio of past WordPress projects demonstrating advanced skills.
  8. Experience with SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.

Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience with Headless WordPress development and REST APIs.
  2. Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines for WordPress.
  3. Knowledge of Google Analytics, GTM, and other tracking tools.
