Job summary

AltimateMedical in Frankfort, IL is seeking a production/assembly worker to support our manufacturing lines. You will be asked to record work in Ritetime, pull parts from inventory, and prepare tasks by studying assembly instructions and parts lists.

Positions include assembling components, checking connections for proper fit, and using a variety of shop tools. The role requires safety consciousness and reliable teamwork on a busy line.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate competence to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Competent to read and interpret documents such as quality procedure manuals and safety rules.
• Demonstrate competence to recognize production roadblocks/bottlenecks of assigned production tasks to meet specifications that arise adhering to standard practices.
• Competence to use and maintain cordless drills, wrenches, Allen wrenches, label gun, pneumatic staple gun, thermoformer, clicker press, T-nut machine, band saws and like machinery/tools.
• Ability to use good judgment to improve job efficiencies, recommending changes to supervisor.
• Demonstrate competence to respectfully communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
• Demonstrate competence to guide and coach new employee assemblers, alerting supervisor of personnel issues
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of computer operation

Responsibilities

• Utilize Ritetime to record work.
• Pull parts and components from inventory locations for building finished goods.
• Study assembly instructions and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts/subassemblies using templates, samples, or QPM.
• Assemble components and inspect connections for correct fit; fasten parts and subassemblies.
• Acknowledge and report bottlenecks to supervisor to maintain specs.
• Use and maintain a range of tools and shop equipment in a production environment.
