Job summary

Gravois Planing Mill in Kentucky is seeking a woodworking laborer and apprentice to join our historic millwork shop. You will learn blueprint reading, machining, finishing and assembly while performing hands-on tasks such as moving lumber, sanding, and assisting with shop operations.

All work occurs on-site; the role emphasizes safety, reliable attendance and a willingness to learn. You will train across departments, gaining cross-training and contributing to restoration and custom commissions

Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and reliable attendance.
• Interest in learning woodworking and shop drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Move lumber and materials as required.
• Sand and finish work as part of the production process.
• Assist with shop operations and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
