Job summary

Brown-Forman in Versailles, Kentucky, seeks a processing technician for 2nd shift support (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday). Responsibilities include operating forklifts, maintaining SAP records, and performing batching and quality checks on whiskey.

You will collaborate with Operations leadership to manage material transfers, support bottling, and ensure adherence to SOPs in a multi-shift environment, with overtime/coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Shift hours: Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient with technology and software tools.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and collaborative problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to push/pull at least 100 pounds.
  • Able to navigate stairs, ramps, ladders, and tight areas daily.
  • Able to work in varied environments (cold and heat).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate liquid transfers with Operations leadership and Lead Operator.
  • Load/unload tankers to support bottling and schedules.
  • Perform batching, analytical, and proofing tests on whiskey and tanks.
  • Determine barrel dump quantities/timing for formulations and tanks.
  • Assist barrel handling including warehouse movements and dump operations.
  • Collect and document liquid and barrel samples per process standards.
  • Maintain inventory records and downtime events in designated systems.
  • Provide processing support across T1 and T2 operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Meaningful Work From Day One

Support the Woodford Reserve 2nd Shift Processing operations (Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) including barrel handling, liquid processing, inventory management, and personal selection activities. Operate forklifts and processing equipment, maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, perform cycle counts and tanker loadouts, and ensure compliance with established operating procedures. Must be flexible to support overtime, vacation coverage, and off-shift assignments in a multi-shift operation.

What You Can Expect
  • Monitor available bottling tanks and partner with the Operations Manager and Lead Processing/Regauge Operator to coordinate liquid transfers.
  • Load and unload tankers to support bottling operations and off-site bottling schedules.
  • Perform batching, analytical, and proofing tests on finished whiskey and processing tanks, ensuring quality standards are met and results are accurately documented.
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to determine barrel dump quantities and timing to support formulation requirements, bulk tanks, processing tanks, and tanker operations.
  • Support barrel handling activities, including warehouse movements, truck unloading, stacking barrels, and dumping operations.
  • Collect and document liquid and barrel samples as required by process standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of liquid movements, quality testing, and inventory transactions through Regauge Sheets, Salesforce, and other designated systems.
  • Accurately record downtime events in TrackSYS.
  • Provide processing support across both T1 and T2 operations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and a high school diploma
  • Shift Hours - Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Proficient at performing simple mathematical calculations (add, multiply, subtract, etc.)
  • Proficient technology skills
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Able to push and pull at least 100 pounds.
  • Able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach upward/downward, crouch, ascend/descend stairs/ramps/ ladders and enter tight/restricted areas on a daily basis.
  • Able to work under varied environmental conditions, including cold and heat.
