Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a dedicated CTE teacher for Clayton Pre-AP Academy to deliver state-approved curriculum and industry-aligned, hands-on learning that builds technical skills and career readiness.

The instructor will collaborate with administrators, families, and industry partners, maintain records, assess student progress, and create inclusive, safe classrooms that support diverse learners and CTSO participation.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Nevada teaching license eligibility in CTE or related area.
• Experience with hands-on, applied learning and workforce preparation.
• Ability to deliver state-approved CTE curriculum aligned to standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on CTE instruction aligned to Nevada standards.
• Maintain accurate records and reflect on teaching practice.
• Collaborate with administrators, families, industry partners, and CTSOs.
• Coordinate work-based learning experiences and industry partnerships.
