Job summary

Sonoco Richmond, KY is seeking an Assembler to support a new reel assembly line. You will assemble wood reels for wire and cable, using hand and power tools, while following specifications and safety rules.

This hands-on role requires reliability, the ability to work independently and in a team, lift up to 50 lbs, read manufacturing instructions, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment to produce durable, high-quality reels.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing helpful
• Must have a "get it done" attitude and urgency to resolve tasks
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of product quality requirements and lifing up to 50 lbs
• Reliability, initiative, commitment, and quality focus in a fast-paced env.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood reels using hand and power tools per specifications
• Collaborate with other departments and teams
• Troubleshoot problems and make incremental process adjustments
• Monitor and report quality of manufactured product
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
• Perform duties as directed by supervisor/manager
• Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies
• Assist other departments as needed
