Job summary

Carris Reels is seeking quality-minded, dependable individuals to join our West Rutland Assembly Division as Reel Assembler, Shift 1. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, you will assemble wooden reels for the wire and cable industry, standing for long periods and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Follow established methods and procedures necessary to build a wooden reel.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and customer specifications with minimum supervision.
• Interpersonal and group communications skills are necessary.
• Be familiar with, and use, measuring tools. Must be able to perform simple shop math.
• Build wood reels using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret customer spec cards and maintain production flow.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Report defective materials, or questionable conditions, to the department supervisor.

Carris Reels is seeking quality-minded, dependable individuals to join our talented team of Employee Owners at our West Rutland Assembly Division- which has Support/Prep, Shipping, Tube Making, and Assembly departments. These key positions require working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, assembling wood reels for the wire and cable industry. Long periods of standing, attention to safe practices, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a team setting are also required.
