Job summary

Sonoco in Carrollton, GA is seeking an assembler to keep the reel assembly line running safely and efficiently. You will assemble wood reels for wire and cable using hand and power tools according to specifications to produce durable, high‑quality parts.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you’ll collaborate with other departments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The job requires a can‑do attitude, reliability, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing is helpful.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Stand for long periods and work repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood reels using hand and power tools according to specifications
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
• Troubleshooting problems and adjusting processes
• Monitor and report quality of manufactured product
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
• Perform duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
• Help out other departments as needed
