Job summary

Jobtailor in Anderson, SC seeks a diligent Wood Pallet Builder to construct and repair pallets from new or recycled wood. You will receive material, operate a nail gun, and assemble pallets to exact specifications for forklift-ready shipping.

You must follow safety procedures, maintain high quality, and handle heavy lifting in hot or cold conditions. This full-time role requires overtime as needed and a strong eye for detail to keep pace with a high-volume warehouse operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, Roofing, experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, ear protection at several locations, and safety shoes
• Close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Responsibilities

• Build and repair wooden pallets from fresh or recycled wood
• Receive wood from saw shop and piece together with nail gun along set stringers
• Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
• Follow company safety procedures to ensure personal and workplace safety
• Achieve high quality standards while maintaining high volume of finished goods
• Work in conditions involving heat, cold, elements, and air particulate
