Job summary

Door Works seeks an AutoCAD Drafter to develop accurate drawings for custom wood doors, millwork, and related products. You will translate architectural designs and customer requirements into ready-to-manufacture CAD documentation for Production and CAD|CAM workflows.

The role emphasizes independent work within standards, high accuracy, and effective communication with Production and Management. Experience with door/millwork drafting and CNC/CAM processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience required.
• Strong 2D AutoCAD skills essential.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, details, elevations, sections, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
• Translate design concepts into manufacturable CAD documentation for production.
• Prepare drawings for Production, CNC|CAM, Pre-Hang, Installation and related departments.
• Maintain drawing history and organize digital files per company standards.
• Establish and maintain CAD drafting standards, templates, and reference materials.
• Provide day-to-day drafting support to junior staff and cross-train on AutoCAD practices.
