Job summary

Torsap Thai Kitchen in Boone, NC is seeking a LINE COOK to prepare and bake pizzas, buns, cookies, and sourdough, and to support daily production under LPBC standards.

You will supervise prep cooks and utility staff, train and coordinate, ensure proper temperatures and presentation, maintain logs for the wood-fired pizza oven, and uphold sanitation and safety policies. This role reports to the Kitchen Manager and offers stable hours in a busy restaurant.

Qualifications

• Follows LPBC standardized recipes and procedures.
• Maintains sanitation and safety policies in daily operations.
• Maintains temperature logs and proper food temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in training and developing staff alongside Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager.
• Co-ordinates work of Prep Cooks and General Utility workers for efficient production.
• Prepares food according to LPBC recipes and ensures compliance by all staff.
• Ensures service presentation with proper garnishing, utensils and portion control as per recipes.
• Cooks and prepares soups, stocks, sauces, gravies, grills, bakes, broils and sautés as required.
• Expedites restaurant service as directed.
• Bakes pizza and other items in a traditional wood-fired oven.
• Fires and cleans the wood-fired oven and maintains temperature logs.
• Adheres to LPBC sanitation and safety policies including daily documentation.
