Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a Journeyman Baker to produce daily menu items for taverns and grab-and-go locations in Williamsburg, VA. The role requires familiarity with baking in wood-fired ovens and accurate bakers’ math for scaling formulas.

Must have a culinary program degree in baking and pastry or the industry equivalent; preferred experience includes 3–5 years in similar settings and the ability to train associates on standard items.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Baker with ability to scale formulas by volume.

Responsibilities

• Daily production of menu items for taverns and grab-and-go locations.
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements.
• Produce basic sauces, creams and aerated products.
• Finish daily production on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation.
