Job summary

Baillow Recruiting LLC is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a wood component manufacturing facility in Fargo, ND. You will oversee operations, safety, quality, scheduling, and inventory while developing a high-performing team.

This leadership role requires 5+ years in component manufacturing, deep experience with roof truss, floor truss, and wall panels, and strong planning and problem-solving to meet customer deadlines and optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in component manufacturing, including roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels.
• Strong understanding of truss/component manufacturing operations and production processes.
• Proven leadership and people-management experience.
• Experience with production scheduling, staffing, inventory, and quality control.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Alpine software and E-Shop plant management software experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across roof truss, floor truss, and wall panel production.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees while ensuring staffing aligns with production demands.
• Set production goals and monitor performance, efficiency, quality, and output.
• Manage production scheduling to meet customer deadlines and optimize plant capacity.
• Work closely with sales, design, and logistics teams to coordinate production and customer needs.
• Develop and manage the plant budget and identify future equipment needs.
• Oversee inventory levels and purchasing of lumber, plates, EWP, hangers, and other production materials.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure manufactured components meet applicable building codes.
• Promote a strong safety culture, including employee training, equipment safety, and OSHA compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and overall plant performance.
