Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Educator for Critical Care in Colorado. The role focuses on evidence-based educational programs for nursing and clinical staff at the assigned facility, aiming to enhance professional practice and patient care.

The role involves onboarding and competency development, collaboration with leadership, and driving quality improvement initiatives. Requires RN license, BLS, and travel up to 25% with preference for a Master’s in Nursing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
2+ years of experience in acute care hospital preferred.
Currently licensed as an RN in state of practice or active compact license required.
Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

Participates in onboarding and orientation program development and evaluation for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program based on evaluation results.
Participates in development, coordination, and management of competency evaluation.
Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
Develops activities to achieve outcomes related to deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill, and practice.
