Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope in a busy hospital setting. You will document care using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals, while maintaining safety and high-quality standards.

The role requires a TN nursing license (or compact), BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience, with Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact state.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care ofPatientsappropriate to the ages of patients served.
• You will promote customer service initiatives along withCentennialMedical Center Service Values. (HCAHPS).
• You will document all patient carein a timely manner.

• You willdemonstrateability to perform technical skills and Procedures.
• You will promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

What qualifications you will need:

• Social skillsto positively engagewith patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
• Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing orappropriate compactState.
• BLS
• 1 Year of RN experience required
• Labor and Delivery Experience Highly Preferred
