Job summary

Assumption University in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach to support instruction, program development, and NCAA Division II compliance as part of the liberal arts college experience.

The role will assist in organizing practices, recruiting prospective student-athletes, and collaborating with campus partners on PR, fundraising, and student development initiatives. Weekend and evening hours are required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University and respect its Catholic and Assumptionist identity.
• University coaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication and public relations, management, and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.
• Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED.
• Able to establish professional relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the Assumption University driver qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of the Division II Women’s Soccer program.
• Promotes and maintains NCAA compliance among coaches and student-athletes.
• Assists in organizing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating practices, games, and conditioning.
• Assists in recruiting potential student-athletes.
• Coordinates personal development and community service for student-athletes.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
