HCA Healthcare is seeking a Specialty Nurse Educator in Women’s Services to influence patient care through evidence-based education across hospitals in the division. The role partners with the Director of Clinical Programs and Market Director to develop competency-based programs for nursing staff and allied non-licensed personnel.
The ideal candidate holds a BSN, with 2+ years in clinical education and 3+ years in acute care, and is licensed to practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Master's degree in nursing preferred.
- 2+ years of clinical education experience required.
- 3+ years of acute care hospital experience required.
- 3+ years of clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
- Licensed as appropriate to education in the state of practice required.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
- Specialty certification by ANCC required.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Responsabilités
- Provides and assists with orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
- Conducts orientation to create a positive learning environment and develops competency.
- Identifies learning needs and develops activities to improve knowledge, skills, and practice.
- Plans educational content with learner engagement.
- Assesses practice gaps and collaborates with education team to evaluate programs.
