Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Specialty Nurse Educator Procedural to influence patient care across hospitals in the division. You will lead education programs, develop competency assessments, and guide staff through onboarding and ongoing professional development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical education teams, ensuring compliance with laws and standards, and promoting lifelong learning in a high‑stakes acute care setting nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical education experience required.
• 3+ years of acute care hospital experience required.
• 3+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• Currently licensed to educate in state of practice.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Specialty certification CV-BC, CRN, or RCIS required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides and assist with orientation/onboarding programs to promote retention.
• Conducts orientation to facilitate a positive learning environment; evaluates competency.
• Identifies learning needs and develops activities to improve knowledge, skills and practice.
• Plans educational content with learner engagement.
• Assesses practice gaps and collaborates with education teams to adjust programs.
• Promotes lifelong learning and uses a novice-to-expert development approach.
• Monitors compliance with laws, regulations and industry practices; reports KPIs.
