Job description

Job Description: Medical Receptionist (3rd Shift)

Under the direction of the manager or designee, supports the functions of the unit/area by performing receptionist and clerical duties. This is a 12-hour 3rd shift position, hours are from 7pm to 7:30am.

  1. Maintains the medical record in good form.
  2. Handles appointment scheduling of patients.
  3. Maintains current working knowledge; adheres to Access policies and procedures; performs problem-solving.
  4. Performs registration/check-in functions.
  5. Communicates effectively using established systems/protocols.
  6. Communicates effectively with ancillary departments.
  7. Maintains unit supplies/forms appropriately.
  8. Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.
  9. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Compensation Range: $15.68 - $24.30 hourly

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Experience: No experience required
  • Preferred: Scheduling, Front Desk, or Access Associate training
  • Licensure: None required
Physical Demands

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull < 20 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
