Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ, seeks an experienced RN to provide triage assessments in person and by phone, support clinical providers, and perform tasks within licensure to ensure timely, quality care. The successful candidate will triage via telephone and in person, assist with examinations and procedures, document accurately, and educate patients while coordinating with staff

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
• Current NJ RN License and CPR certification.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a physician's practice/primary care.
• Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage assessments in person and on the telephone with patients to determine the appropriate level of care required.
• Prepare and assist clinical providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks within the scope of their licensure. Leads team as appropriate and assists with assignment of tasks.
• Conducts triage patient assessments incorporating psychosocial and physiological status as well as health behaviors.
• Demonstrates a consistent ability to perform patient triage via telephone as well as in person.
